Amazon Tall Tower Observatory – ATTO

2 Digitel DHA-80 for a joint German-Brazilian research project

The main goal is to improve understanding of the Amazon rainforest and its interactions with the soil beneath and the atmosphere above (biosphere – atmosphere interactions). We use two High Volume Aerosol Sampler DHA-80 with TSP head, one at 42 m height and one at 321 m height at the Tall Tower – ATTO Site. With the filters we are running various analyses e.g. biological DNA sequencing (air microbiome), dust sampling and sampling of other various organic and inorganic particles from natural or anthropogenic sources.
