Sales Partner Meeting 2023

Our first international sales partner took place on the 13./14. September. We discussed strategies with a focus on customers in the scientific applications. Of course, we shared some nice meals and had a look around our workshop to give an idea how our samplers are made 🙂

My favourite presentation was by Patrik Winiger, from the Swiss Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI), Switzerland’s most important and largest research institute for natural and engineering sciences. The topic was: “Science through a filter – application of filter-based measurements”. The presentation contained an overview on aerosol sciences through the centuries, knowledge about health impacts and the evolution of the air quality in the last century and some recent and ongoing research projects on transport and source apportionment. Aerosol transportation models help us to understand our impact on global air quality. Long range transport of aerosols is impressively shown by the fact that human made pollutants can be found even in arctic air. High quality data is crucial to high quality modelling, and it was very exciting to get a glimpse at what can be done with the material sampled by our High Vol Samplers!

The meeting took place at the historic school building of our village, called “Chappeli”, we had Lunch in a small restaurant next to lake Greifensee and dinner overlooking the region at restaurant “Alter Tobelhof”. Unfortunately the weather there was so bad that we could not enjoy the view. Luckily the weather got much better just in time for our excursion to Rheinfall!

We are looking forward to welcoming our partners again in spring 2025. It was an excellent meeting, many thanks to everyone attending!
